by: Austin Quach (Class of 2018) On February 17, Ukiah residents celebrated Chinese New Years at Alex Thomas Plaza. Students from Developing Virtue Boys School helped welcome the Year of the Dog with many marvelous performances such as the lion dance, dragon dance, 24 seasons drumming, and Chinese orchestra.
by Nuoyan Wang (Class of 2021) Following the previous Honoring Elders event, the CTTB HED occurred on Saturday, October 28, including performances from both the IGDVGS and IGDVBS. Requiring difficult coordination as well as hours of practice, the 2017 Annual Honoring Elders Day was a success.

The whole crowd sat at the edge of their tiny seats, leaning forward and eagerly anticipating what the two young boys in their red and blue shirts would do. They looked at each other in confidence and draped a golden cloth lined with black fur across their backs. […]
