Chinese New Years Festival in Ukiah

On February 17, Ukians celebrated Chinese New Years at Alex Thomas Plaza. Students from Developing Virtue Boys School helped welcome the Year of the Dog with many marvelous performances such as the lion dance, dragon dance, 24 seasons drumming, and Chinese orchestra. The Dragon and Lion Dance Club taught kids how to make Chinese New Year lanterns out of red envelopes for good luck throughout the new year. Meanwhile, the Tea Club fundraised over $300 for victims of the Redwood Valley Fires by selling boba tea.
