Mother’s Day Celebration

Keeping with tradition, the Boys School celebrated Mother’s Day on Thursday, May 9 with a student lunch and orchestra performances, along with a speech by 5-6 Grade core teacher Ms. Moore and a rose giving ceremony by the sophomores, juniors, and seniors. On this occasion, we had the chance to thank our school’s honorable mothers as representation of the all the mothers of humankind.

Music is the greatest form of communication. It is spoken through the sounds of countless cultures, yet it can be understood by all who come upon it, regardless of background. From the powerful symphonies of the west, to the peaceful tunes of the east, the International AiMusic Festival-proclaimed by UNESCO as a World Intangible Cultural Heritage event-celebrates them all.

3rd International AiMusic Festival

An intangible form of expression bringing harmony and joy to all.  It speaks directly to our souls, in a language understood by all — the language of emotion. Nonetheless, music varies differently depending on where it’s from, and thus, we gathered at the International AiMusic Festival to celebrate these differences.

Chinese New Years Festival in Ukiah

by: Austin Quach (Class of 2018) On February 17, Ukiah residents celebrated Chinese New Years at Alex Thomas Plaza. Students from Developing Virtue Boys School helped welcome the Year of the Dog with many marvelous performances such as the lion dance, dragon dance, 24 seasons drumming, and Chinese orchestra.
