Saturday, September 28th marks Confucius’ birthday, which is commonly tied to expressing appreciation for teachers. On Friday 9.27.2019, the Boys School students organized a display of gratitude for their own beloved teachers. Having been served delicious desserts and tea, the teachers relaxed and enjoyed the performances from each class.

The show began with the junior high and freshmen presenting their heartfelt poems, before the sophomores sang You Have Made A Difference, thus marking the end of the normal performances. This was followed by the unique gifts presented by the upperclassmen. When we are down, our teachers are always there to cheer us up. In return, the upperclassmen wanted to bring some laughter to the teachers. The juniors, forced to perform by Xin Hung Chan and led by Olivier Truong, performed the Chinese cultural masterpiece Are You Ok. Afterwards, donning their class sweaters, ski goggles, and school knapsacks, the seniors danced in sync to Little Einstein.

For all the pudding, cupcakes, fruits, and desserts, we offer a big thank you to Mrs. Lau! Furthermore, another big (but not quite as big) thank you to the Teacher’s Day event organizer Xin Hung Chan (11)!
