Teachers

The approximately 50 faculty members include both monastic and lay members of the Dharma Realm Buddhist Association, as well as teachers and professionals from around the world. They create a stimulating learning environment through a blend of Western and Eastern teaching philosophies and methods. The educational diversity and professional qualifications of the faculty enrich the learning experience, enhance student engagement, and contribute to a well-rounded educational environment. IGDVS faculty are committed to continuous learning and professional growth.

The average teaching experience of the faculty is 10 or more years, with 47% holding BA/BS degrees, 36% holding MA/MS degrees, and 17% holding doctoral degrees. The student/teacher ratio is approximately 5:1, and the average class size is 10. Interaction between teachers and students extends beyond the classroom, with faculty serving as coaches, club sponsors, and student advisors.
