The junior high school students prepared a special presentation to share with their classmates and the 4th–6th graders. Over the past weeks, they had been exploring how many things in nature and in science form chains. Their project, titled “Chains of Connection,” focused on understanding interdependence in both nature and human life, and on how every action sets off a chain reaction, both scientifically and ethically. Each student was responsible for one “chain” and created a visual presentation to help explain her topic.

Some of the topics they explored were simple actions we can all take: helping to clean up the environment, buying locally, recycling paper, saving water, turning off the lights, helping a friend with homework, and more.

At the end of Ms. Vidya’s introduction, she invited everyone to reflect on this question:
How much good can one small action create?
