As the 2025-2026 school year began, DVGS students gathered together on the bright morning of August 25th, 2025. The campus came alive as K-12th-grade students, both new and old, shared in the excitement, filling the air with laughter and energy on the first day of school.

The morning proceeded, and students introduced themselves to their peers, enjoying reconnecting and making new friends. The seniors led icebreakers and games to help everyone feel welcome and connected. Students learned about each other’s names, birthdays, and hobbies. Through the activities, students began forming bonds that will grow throughout the years to come.
After the games concluded, the seniors hosted the school orientation, guiding students through important rules and information for the year. They presented the school rules, helped assign lockers, and handed out schedules to ensure everyone felt prepared for their classes. Following the orientation, our principal, Jin Jr Shi, spoke to the students with a warm welcome, offering words of encouragement and sharing highlights of the upcoming year’s classes, activities, and events.

Students left the first day of school feeling happy and excited. They are looking forward to getting to know their classmates better, learning new lessons in class, and participating in all of the activities and events planned for the year!
