On the afternoon of September 6, 2024, Developing Virtue Boys School students went to the Ukiah Library to see an art gallery hosted by William Shi and the Ukiah Library. To support their classmate, Leo Wang and Matthew Wong decided to play music to attract the audience during the entire event.

William Shi is a 17-year-old artist and a junior at the Developing Virtue Boys School. He is fascinated with nature and animals, so most of his paintings are about them.

He paints in many different styles, including traditional Chinese rice paper painting and oil painting. In this art gallery, most of the paintings he presented are classic Chinese rice paper paintings. One of the paintings in the gallery is a copy of the famous “Painting of Hundreds of Chickens,” which he painted.
At 7:00 pm, it was time for the Ukiah Library to close, which also meant the event had sadly come to an end. A big thank you to Ukiah Library and William Shi for hosting the art gallery! Another big thank you to William Shi for inviting the students to the art gallery!
