Peace Day, which we celebrated on September 20th, was filled with music, art, food, and fun.

We started off the event with a wonderful walk to the CTTB gate while chanting “om mani padme hom”, the IGDVS peace chant that filled the air with resonance of compassion and kindness.

After returning from the walk, we prepared to perform the song “All You need Is Love” by John Lennon. We had drawn a big heart on the road with chalk, and it was in this formation that we stood as we sang the song. 

Not long after, everyone broke bread and started to enjoy the hummus and food. Thank you to everyone who prepared the excellent meal, and everyone who had a hand in this exciting event!
