IGDVS teachers enthusiastically attended the Celebracion de la Herencia Hispana in Ukiah on Sunday, September 17, 2023. Radiating smiles and warmth, families visited the school booth to learn more about our K-18 educational institution. Children lined up eagerly, taking aim to toss bean bags into the nets at our booth, and left with gift bags full of Spanish-translated Buddhist stories published by Buddhist Text Translation Society. Furthermore, they received a handmade origami crane, delicately crafted by one of our teachers, symbolizing the bridge between cultures. Our teachers left the event with hearts full of joy, having fostered meaningful connections with our local Hispanic community and sharing wonderful children stories of kindness and wisdom.
