“Individuality within Unity”
The annual ELSR Museum consists of a collection of student projects and art pieces designed to manifest the school’s eight core virtues (kindness, filial piety, respect, trustworthiness, fairness, citizenship, integrity, and humility). The gallery and live performances demonstrate the academic potential and talents of students in the fields of humanities, sciences, and arts, expresses a multinational, global awareness and understanding, and shows an appreciation and respect for a variety of cultures and religions.
This year’s exhibition, centered on the theme “Individuality within Unity,” showcased various mediums, ranging from life-like drawings and paintings to a detailed clay statue and interactive electronic circuit boards introducing biological systems.

April 7th was the day of the opening ceremony. Teachers, parents, and students gathered at the meticulously arranged Wonderful Words Hall to enjoy the hard work of the students. The museum featured science fair projects entered in the Mendocino County Science Fair competition, Chinese New Year calligraphy written by students of all ages, planet awareness posters and drawings, and many more individual artworks.
For the opening ceremony, a program of engaging student performances was prepared, with songs by the Chinese Orchestra, a rendition of the classic Greek myth, “Pandora’s Box,” by the 4th through 6th graders, a moving music and dance performance of “The Vimalakirti Sutra” by the junior and senior class, as well as a fulfilling choir adaptation of “I See The Light.”

After the opening, the ESLR Museum remained open for the entire week, inviting all to view and celebrate the academic and artistic works of the IGDVS students.
Special thanks to all the teachers, ESLR creative team members, performers, and everyone that contributed to make this event possible.
A survey was conducted after the museum to collect feedback on the school’s ESLR strengths and growth areas. The results are as follows:
