On March 18th, the Boys School loaded up their equipment and set off to perform for Frank Zeek Elementary School. Despite the blazing sun, the students prepared to put up a show for the exciting kids. Due to COVID-19 safety protocols, the students had to perform twice consecutively. There were 3 performances in total: 24 Seasons Festive Drumming, Lion Dance, and Dragon Dance. Since it is the Year of the Tiger, this year is especially important for the kids because Frank Zeek’s mascot is a tiger.

The show started when the kids emerged from the classrooms, as the lion went to greet them and let them touch its fur. The lion dancers played with the kids as they walked by and slowly got into their positions. After each performance, the crowd roared and applauded as they were amazed by our impressive performances.

After the show ended, the dragon and lion dancers went into the crowd and played with the kids, letting them touch the lion’s and dragon’s bodies and entertain them in various ways. Thank you everyone for being such cheerful and respectful audiences!
