“You don’t know what you have until it’s gone.” We’ve all heard that quote before, but we seldom give it much thought. Since the day Mr. Justin Hu joined the residence hall staff, much change has occurred; and as President Woodrow Wilson once said, “If you want to make enemies, try to change something.” Often, people had resented such actions, but now that he is gone from the dorm for good, we’ll certainly miss him. Thank you Justin. We are sorry for all the trouble we’ve caused, just as we are grateful for all the hard work you’ve done. We wish you the best of luck in the next chapter of your life.

Preparing for the climb

. . .

Two weeks before the Ten Thousand Buddhas Jeweled Repentance, Justin brought the Class of 2022 on a final trip to Santa Rosa. After an hour-long drive, the freshmen arrived at Vertex Rock Climbing. Upon arrival, they geared up and took an easy belay test, which everyone passed. Then, they began to enjoy their climb, and spent quality time with each other. After many exhausting hours of exercise, Justin brought everyone to Santa Rosa Mall to relax and dine. The day passed quickly, and Justin’s last trip as a dorm father ended cheerfully.
