10/27/18. A bit early for Halloween, but the closest we could get. This year we continued the annual tradition of celebrating Halloween with savoury food, mini-games, a donut-eating contest, a sophomore skit and dance, a maze, and of course, a plethora of fun.

Hearts left unsatisfied by the lack of a donut-eating contest during Moon Festival were finally gratified – a victor, a champion, rose up with hungry mouths to devour donuts: Melvin Chau (7), who kindly gave his donut prize to the second place winner. Mini-games once again included the popular mini-basketball station, and artists displayed their talents in monster drawing challenges. The performance flawlessly executed by the sophomore class had an unexpected star: Vincent Nguyen (1). Even with this unforeseen focus of attention, the sophomores pulled through with their humorous play, a repetitive (in a good way) and hence intriguing play, which strongly resembled that of their Moon Festival play. To cap off this enthralling performance was the well-choreographed, synced dance, that was nothing short of breathtaking. The maze, though not as scary, prevailed in form throughout the event, despite the fact that the supply of duct tape used was meek in comparison to previous years. This phenomenon was possible to the stroke of creativity present in the great minds of planners like Kyle Doan (11).

WORDS CANNOT BE ENOUGH to express our gratitude for all who flexed their culinary skills, summoning a dish of delicacy, appeasing the trained tongues of boys school. In addition, the presence of pizza was greatly appreciated, and the existence of Thai Tea was only known of for about the first 5 minutes upon bringing it in. THANK YOU TO ALL WHO CONTRIBUTED A DISH TO OUR POTLUCK! ❤
