Drums banged as people sang along to the Hindu chants. “Hare Krishna! Hare Krishna!” Featuring a dharma talk by widely-proclaimed Guru Srila Bhakti Bibudha Bodhayan Maharaj, the unique cultural experience was both entertaining and educational for the DVBS Dorm.

On September 3rd, the DVBS Dorm prepared for an early departure at 8:00AM. The drive to the Mandala Retreat Center in Lake County was arduous and troublesome, especially with the DVBS SuperShuttle breaking down at Wal-Mart.
Filled with activities such as mini-golf, archery, and swimming, the students had tremendous fun that day. Delicious Indian cuisine was offered for lunch and dinner, which were both quickly devoured by the students (Yum). Students also attended the ceremonies and dharma lectures, experiencing the unique Vaishnava religion and culture.
