On the sunny Friday of September 26, the Instilling Goodness Developing Virtue Girls School held its 2025 Teacher’s Day celebration—an annual event honoring teachers’ unconditional devotion.
The Juniors class of 2027 planned and hosted the event, with all students participating in the activity through performing and homemade food for their teachers. During the event, hand potted flowers and home-made apple sauce were given to the teachers as a grateful acknowledgement of their tireless efforts and contributions.

As the day the event was held on Native American day, IGDVS students also took time to pay their respects to the local Native American tribes, who have cared for the land on which the school stands for generations. The students also honored the school’s spiritual founder, Confucius, whose virtues and principles are the basis of IGDVS’s eight core virtues.
The dress code for the day was “dressing like a teacher”, which was made on purpose for the teacher’s day. The students have always participated in this event as hosts and performers, this time, however, the students could be more engaged in the event by dressing like teachers.

Each class also had heartwarming performances such as singing and playing instruments, reflecting the respect and deep appreciation they hold for the guiding presence of their teachers. In between the performances, a “guess the teacher” activity was hosted, where participants were shown three emojis representing a particular teacher and had to guess who it was.

The day came to a close with a warm atmosphere of gratitude and celebration. The students took time to reflect upon the great help they received from their teachers while teachers enjoyed a well-deserved moment of appreciation and celebration. Special thanks to the dining hall staff and everyone else who prepared the delicious food and helped make this memorable event possible! Thank you teachers!
