On the last day before winter break, December 11, the juniors hosted the school’s annual Winter Banquet and potluck, a heartwarming event filled with performances, delicious food, and holiday cheer. Students, teachers, and families gathered in Wonderful Words Hall to enjoy a morning of music, dance, and festivities as they celebrated the season together.

The event started with a beautiful performance by the Chinese Orchestra Club, who played a melodic rendition of classic Christmas tunes that set the tone for the celebration. Then, Miranda played a piano solo and delighted everyone during lunch. Next, the Piano Ensemble took the stage and played a cheerful medley of Christmas carols. Their performance filled the air with holiday warmth, creating a lively atmosphere for the rest of the event.

The second-grade students were up next with an adorable Christmas dance, twirling and clapping while wearing Santa hats. Their performance brought big smiles to the crowd, adding a touch of youthful energy to the celebration. The Band Club then took over with Silent Night, bringing a peaceful moment to the lively event.

As the event continued, each grade level performed a unique piece to celebrate the season. The Junior High students had the crowd on their feet with a lively Jingle Bell Rock dance, while the Freshmen brought festive cheer with their rendition of Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree. The Sophomores showed off their moves with a fun Last Christmas dance, and the Seniors closed out the student performances with a stunning a cappella version of Price Tag, showing their vocal harmony and creativity.

The fun didn’t stop there—Santa Claus himself made a surprise appearance, passing out candy to students and spreading holiday cheer throughout the room. It was a magical moment that added extra sparkle to the event.

As the Winter Banquet came to a close, everyone left with full hearts, full stomachs, and lots of holiday joy. It was the perfect way to end the school year before winter break, and a reminder of the wonderful community we share.

Happy Holidays to everyone, and here’s to a joyful new year ahead!
