On September 24th, 2023, DVGS had a Teachers’ Day event hosted by the juniors. As autumn stepped in, we enjoyed food such as pudding, muffin and Goji berry tea under the cool autumn breeze and sunshine.

Preparations for the menu, time, and location started weeks prior the event. Invitations were written and passed to the teachers, inviting them to join the students for the afternoon.

Juniors prepped the food and decorations as each class prepared their own performances as an appreciation for the teachers. As the start of the event approached, students stepped in to organize tables and perform last minute rehearsals while teachers began arriving to join in on the festivities.

As the event began, performances such as trivia, singing, and dancing accompanied the desserts as teachers and students alike laughed in the warm afternoon sunlight.
The air was pervaded with joy, and with all the amazing performances and delicious food, ringing of the final bell brought an end to the event.
