On December 5, 2022, to celebrate the coming of the holiday season, IGDVS gathered to watch A Christmas Carol, directed and performed by the freshmen and sophomores.

Led by their English teacher Ms. Kravitz, the students adapted the script, assembled the props, and prepared the costumes for the play. They worked hard and were able to successfully put on the show with patience and shared effort.

Based on the Charles Dickens’ novel of the same name, the play depicted the transformation of the coldhearted and stingy protagonist, Ebenezer Scrooge. On Christmas Eve, he meets the Spirits of Christmas Past, Present, and Future, who take him on a spiritual journey through time and space. As his worldview transforms, he learns to treat others with compassion and forbearance.

With this inspiring message, the play was met with cheerful applause. It was a joyful experience for both the actresses and the audience, as everyone was filled with the spirit of benevolence and gratitude.
