From October 31 to November 4, 2022, IGDVS participated in Spirit Week, a series of activities that fostered school spirit and bonding.

The first day of Spirit Week was Halloween. To celebrate this exciting holiday, the students came in a variety of creative costumes, from Merlin and Spiderman to Papa Smurf and Raven Queen. The elementary students trick-or-treated around the schoolyard, enjoying the festivities amidst fall foliage.

Then came Stuffed Animal Day on November 2. Elementary and high schoolers alike shared their favorite plushies and teddy bears with each other and continued the school day in the company of their cuddly friends.

The next day was Bring Anything But A Backpack Day, and students got creative, bringing their folders and school materials in crates, suitcases, and guitar cases. Everyone had a lot of fun seeing what innovative alternatives others had come up with.

On November 4, Field Day came as a finale to the week of festivities. The elementary school students were sorted into the four School Houses — Dragon, Phoenix, White Tiger, and Unicorn— and participated in engaging sports and games with their high school sisters. From relay races to Red Light Green Light and Simon Says, the afternoon was filled with joy and laughter.
