On October 30th, 2022, the junior and senior class traveled to Mendocino College to watch a play performed by the Mendocino College Theatre Arts Department, The Servant of Two Masters. A comedy written by Carlo Goldoni in 1746, it was artfully revised to fit the modern period, much to the joy of the audience, and featured many interesting characters and a beautiful set design.

Bright lights and colorful scenery greeted the audience as the actors prepared for their last show of the season. Soon, the audience was deeply invested in the tale of Truffaldino, a comical servant with a large appetite, who accidentally finds himself in the service of two masters at odds with each other. The quirky dialogue and entertaining scenes were the highlight of the whole play, and the actors received a standing ovation at the end of the nearly two-hour-long play.

After watching the play, the girls headed to Thai Dish, a small Thai restaurant nestled in the bushes on the side of State Street. With many appetizing entrees and deserts, the table was soon filled with vegetarian dishes and drinks, including fried potatoes, tofu soup, fried banana ice cream, and mango sticky rice.

Thank you to the Mendocino College Theatre Arts Department for the wonderful play!
