Stroll by the IGDVGS booth at the Child Expo and one would see a flurry of girls in uniforms. Some wear green plaid skirts with navy v-neck sweaters. Others have on elaborate Chinese costumes and flowers in their hair. Upon closer inspection, one can see a vast number of books and – what’s that? Free food?
IGDVGS students performed Chinese Dance and Tai Chi while others manned the booth, describing the school and concepts such as Karma Kitchen. They also sold doughnuts to fundraise for Children of Uganda. Needless to say, it was a chance to share cultural experiences and the power of human kindness.
