Junior High Students Reflect on Core Values in Laws of Life Essay Contest

Posted by IGDVS Staff

Four students from the junior high school, Aarya Desai, Sophia Heimberg, Ava Peng, and Iris Wei, participated in the Laws of Life Essay Contest through Character.org this past February. In this global competition, students in grades 4–12 were invited to reflect on a core value that holds the most meaning for them and explain why.

We are proud to announce that Aarya Desai’s essay, Stepping into the Unknown, was recognized as an Exemplary Essay in the Grades 7–8 category from the USA. We commend all of our student participants for this accomplishment.

As a values-based school, where core virtues shape both our curriculum and our way of being, these essays beautifully reflect our students’ personal reflections on the virtues that guide their lives.
