March 9, 2022. Dr. Verhoeven teaches the DVGS meditation class martial arts exercises and the practice of standing meditation.

Leaders are doers, they do what others don’t. They lead not by the magnitude of their voice, but rather, the virtues they exhibit. Good leaders can inspire others to step up and fulfill their potential, while a poor leader can only shout and demand for others to meet expectations. There are so many qualities that describe how a leader should act, but the truth is, we all have it in us to become one.
Juniors and seniors use colors and shapes to depict Sanskrit words in Buddhism class.

Keeping with tradition, the Boys School celebrated Mother’s Day on Thursday, May 9 with a student lunch and orchestra performances, along with a speech by 5-6 Grade core teacher Ms. Moore and a rose giving ceremony by the sophomores, juniors, and seniors. On this occasion, we had the chance to thank our school’s honorable mothers as representation of the all the mothers of humankind.

It was chilly and rainy as the high school students of DVBS strolled down to the big tent in front of the Buddha Hall. Today we will spectate Mr. Chris Gifford demonstrate the art of glassblowing.
